What we collect, why we collect it, and what happens to it. The short version: only what we need to answer you.

Who we are

Velverve is a pre-launch interest test run by Glen Harman. It is not yet trading, and the business that will operate it has not been confirmed. Until that is settled, this website and the enquiries sent through it are hosted and kept on systems managed by Bailey Sierra Pty Ltd (ABN 88 143 618 820, ACN 143 618 820). In this policy, “we”, “us” and “our” mean Velverve.

About this pre-launch test

Velverve is not trading and is not taking bookings. Registering your interest tells us that a service like this would be useful to you. It does not book anything, and it does not create a contract. We have not promised a launch date or a reply time.

We use what you send to understand what would help and to reply to you if we can. Registering your interest is not consent to marketing, and we will not add you to a mailing list without asking you first.

What we collect

  • If you register your interest: your name, your email address, the page you sent it from, and an optional note about your biggest business or technology headache. Our system also records your IP address with the enquiry, which helps us deal with spam.
  • Because Velverve is aimed at creators, a note may describe your business. Please share only what you are comfortable with.
  • If you email or phone us: whatever you tell us, and the details we need to reply.
  • When you visit: our web server keeps standard logs (your IP address, browser type, the pages requested and the time) for security and troubleshooting.

Please do not put passwords, bank details, tax file numbers, identity documents or explicit content in the form. We will never ask for them that way.

How we use it

  • reply to you if we can, and to understand what would help;
  • keep a record of enquiries in our customer records system so that nothing gets lost;
  • protect the site from spam and misuse;
  • meet our legal and record-keeping obligations.

We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not add you to a mailing list without asking first.

Where your information goes

  • Our customer records system. Enquiries are also saved in a customer records system (EspoCRM) that Bailey Sierra Pty Ltd runs on servers it manages. It is used only by the people who run these businesses.
  • Email. Contact form enquiries are emailed to us, so they pass through the email systems of the businesses and providers involved.
  • Our hosting. This website runs on servers managed by Bailey Sierra Pty Ltd.

We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or where you ask us to.

Analytics and cookies

This site does not currently run analytics, advertising or tracking tools, and it does not set cookies to track you.

Overseas providers

Email services used to deliver enquiries to us may store data outside Australia.

Keeping it safe, and for how long

We take reasonable steps to protect information: access is limited to the people who need it, software is kept up to date, and the contact form has spam defences. No system is completely secure, and we cannot promise otherwise.

We keep enquiries for as long as we need them to respond, to deliver any work that follows, and to keep proper business records. After that we delete or de-identify them where we reasonably can.

Seeing, correcting or deleting your information

You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Use the contact page or write to us at PO Box 168, Panania NSW 2213. We may need to confirm who you are first.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, tell us first and we will try to sort it out. If you are still not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
